Just imagine him taking Clarkson's spot, star interviews, introducing the Stig, etc, it would be glorious.

I just realized his delivery is very similar to Perd Havely

I hope you are kidding.

I have tried watching MotorWeek, even about cars I am interested in.

I cannot physically stay awake.

I swear there is something subliminal about his voice or patterned delivery that triggers a hypnotic-like sleep trigger.

*Cuts back to the studio with John and co-presenters Pat Goss and Traffic Jam Jimmy*

"The new EcoBoost is mildly more exciting than the sound of my voice. And on that bombshell, its time to end the show. Goodnite Maryland!"

*Camera pans out, plays Ramblin' Man by the Allman Brothers*

Don't get me wrong, he seems like a perfectly nice guy...

but the radio-voice inflection, and methodical broadcaster cadence is a physiological effect... like focusing on a pendulum pocket watch.
